Worldview

Fellows receive training on the history of social justice movements that help contextualize current challenges faced by our communities, as well as the strategies we can implement to create change. They will gain a deeper understanding of organizing while honing their critical thinking skills through on-the-ground work.

Data & Technology Integration

Fellows expand on their approach towards civic engagement through comprehensive training on applied data and technology integration. After learning how to utilize digital tools for community outreach, our Fellows conduct voter campaigns and witness the impact that effectively integrating data and technology can have on building a movement.

Professional Development

Fellows undergo a series of professional development workshops, producing resumes, cover letters, and mock interviews. The program builds up to our final phase, during which Fellows are placed with one of NYCET’s partner organizations and gain real-world experience organizing on issues affecting communities of color.
