When will the program take place?

The program will take place from September 7th through November 5th and is broken up into three phases:

Phase 1: Worldview and Data & Technology Integration 

September 7th-October 2nd

Phase 2: Professional Development 

October 4th-October 16th 

Phase 3: NYCET Partner Placements 

October 18th-November 5th 

Training will take place on Thursday and Saturdays. Exact timing is still to be determined, but sessions will be no longer than 3 hours. The last two weeks will include placements with partners, and schedules will be tailored to accommodate Fellows.

Who is this program for?

We strongly encourage women and non-binary youth of color from Long Island to apply.

Is this a paid program?

Yes! Fellows will receive a biweekly stipend to offset living expenses while they attend our program.

Do I need to be in college to apply?

No, we encourage all youth aged 18+ to apply and are open to non-traditional paths of education.

What if I can only do one phase of the program?

A condition of selection is a commitment to participate in  all phases of the program. 

Will this program be remote or in person?

The program will be remote aside from two in-person events. We plan to meet up for in-person events on Indigenous People’s Day (October 11th) and during Halloweekend (October 30th or 31st).
