Diving into Professional Development

This week, we dove into professional development! Our fellows workshopped their resumes, bios, and cover letters and participated in mock interviews. Below, hear Adriana’s reflections on these workshops!

“This week with YOI, we worked on professional development, so not only did we work on our resumes, but also our bios and cover letters. My favorite part would be my resume. Now my resume looks professional, and it represents who I am as a person and what I want to be. In another session, we did mock interviews, which helped me not undersell myself.

Through all of it is just knowing I'm coming into a session learning something new. I haven't gone through a session where I was like, I already knew that, it's OK. No—my knowledge is expanding, and I'm grateful for that being part of this program.”
